Vocal Group Hall Of Fame 2002*

Well, another year has passed and here we are at the 2002 Vocal Group Hall of Fame inductions. This year's festivities were even more spectacular than last year's banner year.

This year there was a "Meet and Greet" at a local mall. This gave many fans a chance to come out and meet the many stars. George and Ed acted as emcees for the event.
Tony Butala of the Lettermen and co-founder of the Vocal Group Hall of Fame explains the philosophy and goals of the Hall of Fame.
George and Ed are talking with Michelle Phillips of the Mamas and Papas during the "Meet and Greet".
Ed and George have a good laugh with Michelle while Tony Butala of the Lettermen looks on.
The night before the Hall of Fame Induction ceremonies, there was a VIP dinner and rehearsal. It was an outstanding event. Where else could you see the likes of the Mamas and Papas, jay and the Americans, The Clovers, charlie Thomas of the Drifters and many more all singing together in an informal fashion. Incredible!!!
Denny Doherty and Michelle Phillips of the Mamas and Papas work on "California Dreaming" during rehearsal.
The induction ceremonies were held in the Hall of Fame building itself. The Hall of Fame has purchased and is refurbishing the Columbia Theater located in downtown Sharon, just a short walk from the Hall. At such time that this work is done, both the induction ceremony as well as the concert will be held in the theater.
